Walking Group meets “55 a day” cyclist

The walking group met Curtis Fields recently whilst walking at Llandegfedd reservoir. Curtis Fields, 55, from Oakdale, has been cycling for consecutive days since Tuesday March 1, finishing on Sunday April 24 – to coincide with the final day of Parkinson’s Awareness Week. The ambitious cyclist is into the final third of his challenge to cycle 55-miles-for-55-days to raise money for Parkinsons UK. He said: “I am pleased to say that the local support has been fantastic and so far I have raised £2,000 for Parkinson’s UK.”The daily route takes him through 19 locations including Oakdale, Pontypool, Usk and Newport.
